I’m a recent graduate of University of California, Davis where I majored in Political Science and Economics and am now looking for a career shift into education. My experience has mostly been interning as an analyst for local governments and nonprofits, however I have volunteered in classrooms and am now substiute teaching.My current work as a substitute teacher involves offering my skills all over Santa Rosa. I work in elementary school from Transistional Kindergarten to Sixth Grade. I work with all kinds of learners, including ESL learners, in which I will talk in Spanish. I have also dealt with children with special needs in the regular classroom.Prior to my work in the education, I began my work in the political science and economic fields working for organizations in Sonoma County and the Central Valley. I’ve always been an avid learner and first began my college career at Santa Rosa Junior College getting Associate’s Degrees in economics, political science, social and behavioral science, and natural sciences. As a transfer student at UC Davis, I received two Bachelor's Degrees in political science and economics with a minor in psychology. Currently, I amtaking education and child development classes to get an Associate Teacher Certificate to bolster my qualifications in the ecucation field.
