Mr. Sands is the founder and a Principal of Structura Group, LTD. and Structura Capital, a merchant banking boutique uniquely focused on the automotive, transportation and manufacturing industries.Mr. Sands was a Managing Director of Investment Banking and Head of the Automotive Group for Raymond James & Associates and PricewaterhouseCoopers Securities. He has over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry including over 20 years providing a full range of investment banking services, from public equities and debt, M&A and Restructuring advice to clients across North America and Europe.With Coopers & Lybrand, Mr. Sands spent 2½ years working in London, England establishing a successful European automotive investment banking practice. During this time he completed numerous cross-border transactions for both strategic and financial institutions focused on the transportation sector. Mr. Sands supplements his investment banking experience with over 9 years of direct hands-on automotive experience with Chrysler and General Motor design groups as well as an owner of an engineering, design and manufacturing businesses serving the automotive, commercial, and personal recreational vehicle sectors. Mr. Sands received his B.S. degree in Finance from University of Detroit and an M.B.A. degree from The University of Michigan.
