My aptitude for math and science made a degree in Aerospace Engineering the logical choice and during my time at college I began flying general aviation aircraft.Today, I am a professional pilot with 25+ years of flying experience and over 5,000 total hours including 1,600 hours as a military instructor pilot in jet fighter and trainer aircraft and 1500 hours in technologically advanced aircraft. Over the last 15+ years, I have continuously refined my teaching techniques to effectively tailor my instruction to the student knowing that it is not only what you communicate but how you communicate that ensures comprehension and success. I have also enjoyed the technical aspect of flying in my four years as a Functional Check Flight Pilot and two years conducting aviation mishap investigations integrating my engineering background into my flying career. My professional skills extend beyond aviation and include leading people and managing resources. I have run an operations center, commanded of a detachment of fighters and associated maintenance ensuring the air sovereignty of three nations, and lead a team providing logistical and material support to multiple contingency locations spanning thousands of miles across the continent.
