A Microsoft Access based tool, which automated the entire DIAD equipment order, utilizing inputs from the Information Library and district constraints. Resulted in substantial time reduction and cost savings during 1997. • Developed PLD database for utilization in technology planning. SQL server database provides timely results to complex queries. Tool utilizes multiple stored procedures and views to optimize performance. Perform periodic DBA maintenance on the database. Database currently has over 5 million records. Used as the standard source of data for Corporate technology planning activities. Database has been made available to specific users in the regions and districts.
