I'm passionate about solving global challenges and strengthening security through creative public policy solutions for all communities. I serve as Washington Head of Office and lead global government affairs and public policy for SecurityScorecard.Funded by world-class investors, including Evolution Equity Partners, Silver Lake Partners, Sequoia Capital, GV, Riverwood Capital, and others, SecurityScorecard is the global leader in cybersecurity ratings, response, and resilience, with more than 12 million companies continuously rated. Founded in 2013 by security and risk experts Dr. Aleksandr Yampolskiy and Sam Kassoumeh, SecurityScorecard’s patented rating technology is used by over 25,000 organizations for enterprise risk management, third-party risk management, board reporting, due diligence, cyber insurance underwriting, and regulatory oversight.Prior to SecurityScorecard, I served as Director of Government Affairs for Conduent, a government service delivery company focused on delivering to citizens in the transportation, health care, and social services space. I also led engagement with state and local governments across the United States and the Federal Government with Rhino, a fintech startup aimed to provide renters greater financial freedom by providing smart, affordable alternatives to traditional security deposits. Before Rhino, I led state and local public policy across 50 states and Canada for VMware, a leading global software and cloud computing company modernizing government services. I crafted policy in the areas of privacy, cybersecurity, workforce development, sustainability, social justice, and emerging technology. In public service, I served as Deputy Cabinet Secretary for California Governor Jerry Brown where I oversaw the delivery of government action for 40 million Californians. I loved supporting policies that helped diverse communities, including farmers and farmworkers, our National Guard and veterans, responding to natural disasters, and supporting emerging technology and innovation for the state. I previously worked in Congress, global institutions, and international non-profits. I also served overseas for two years in Afghanistan supporting international forces. Outside of work, I have been to 85 countries, all 50 states, completed multiple 100-mile ultramarathons, and have attended games at every Major League Baseball stadium. I also serve on public service boards for the Mayor of DC, the Montgomery County (MD) Government, and as a gubernatorial appointee to Governor Wes Moore for the State of Maryland.
