Currently employed by Caterpillar for 12 months during my Placement year from my Undergraduate Degree course. In the role currently I have taken part in many various projects relating to production engineering. I have carried out continuous improvement relating to designing solutions for a safer and more efficient workspace as well as communicating with suppliers to source solutions and products. Additionally, have been a key member in increasing the site communication in various roles with their equivalent at other Caterpillar Sites across England to aid in more universal documentation and standardization across sites.Further, I have been a part of multiple teams across various projects where I have carried out cycle time analysis to find the parts of processes to be improved to meet the expected cycle time of machines, as well as actively recording processes for video analysis and providing breakdown of time values.I have also been responsible for updating outdated documents, and organizing and hosting meetings between various departments to ensure a correct and updated document dependent on if it required input from Maintenance, Prod Eng., the Manufacturing dept., etc.

Employed full time at GB engineering, in a similar position to that from 2022, and carried out a variety of tasks in the fabrication environment as metalworker/general laborer. This employment helped to further develop my skills within the engineering and fabrication environment.

I am currently employed at Long’s SuperValu as a shop assistant. I am on a zero hour contract and currently carry out a range of tasks within the store including; operating the baler safely, cleaning up the shop including taking out rubbish bags and replacing bin bags on a daily basis, till operator, shop fronter and restocking the shelves, and helping other employees if there are few tasks left to carry out at the end of the day. I am looking to find new employment from my current job as my hours are few and random throughout the week, and I am looking for a store which offers better pay and/or benefits. I have in the past been expected to show up on short notice, even with just 45 minutes notice and make it to work, to work anywhere from a 4 to 9 hour shift. I am a hard worker and have great people skills, allowing for me to get to know my co-workers and regular customers quite well in a short time span.

Was previously employed from May 21st to September 14th by GB Engineering through GEMX Employment. I was employed as a metalworker and general labourer who’s tasks involved lots of manual handling, metalworking, welding, reading engineering drawings, and generally assisting the other more skilled labourers at GB Engineering. I worked on a Monday – Friday from 8am to 4.30pm every week from the end of May to mid-September. I left GB Engineering on good terms as I was unable to have continued employment with them as I begun my studies at University for BEng Hons Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering.

Was previously employed from August 2021 – January 2022 through CPL employment Agency, which employed me to verify Covid Passports as part of their Government Contract. I was let go in January, as the workload has been reduced and as a temporary Staff member, and I was let go along with 150 other part time staff members. As part of my employment through the CPL Employment Agency, I was provided training, which included Teamwork Training, the Training in Covid Safety Measures and Good Hygiene, and Respect and Dignity Policies. I have worked 8 and 12 hour shifts every Saturday and Sunday since Wednesday 4th August 2021, asking for only 2 days of Leave within that time, also working additional days during the week when I have free time. I gained many skills and experiences while working for CPL, which were able to enhance and mature my key skills and qualities.
