NJII Project Manager and lead researcher for the studying Law Enforcement and specifically Body-worn camera (BWC) Programs.Another responsibility is being a physical security analyst, tasked with aiding the Defense & Homeland Security (DHS) Division at NJII and the United States Army within the Department of Defense (DoD) in securing an off-site location for further research & development and future workforce development. I have also been able to expand the reach of the DHS Division into the field of public safety and law enforcement by building an extensive network and good working relationships with various law enforcement agencies across the entire State of New Jersey.

For this internship, I developed simulations and table-top exercises in courses at the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security & Cyber Security involving natural disaster response and mitigation and terror attacks.My duties included analyzing real world events such as natural disasters and acts of terrorism to develop preparation, response, and contingency plans. By studying real world events such as the Pulse Nightclub and San Bernardino shootings, I began to better understand the people involved and how the events unfolded, and the potential reasoning and warning signs that were present. I would then provide situation reports to my superior for review. Some of my duties also included organizing specialized training workshops related to critical infrastructure security under the supervision of my superior which is knowledge that I had gained by working with Subject Matter Experts as a Red-Team.
