West RegionAs the Boiler Reliability Engineer of Covanta's Western Bio-Mass and WTE plants Responsible for biannual boiler inspections and overall reliability. During the first eight months effectively reduced the number of unscheduled outages in the region by 28%.Develop proactive pressure part replacement in conjunction with the Management Team . Creating CAD drawings and specifications for successful and procurement and installation of pressure parts during scheduled maintenance outages.

DelanoManaged a $15M overhaul to the Delano facility. Project included replacement of superheaters, economizers, ID fans, UPS, Cooling Tower, refractory, and CEMS. Also, undertaken was an emergency turbine generator on overhaul to Unit 1; subsequent to a unexpected blade failure. Pioneered a unique boiler upgrade to Unit 2 resulting in increased thermal efficiency of 2%. Increased thermal efficiency resulting with an annual fuel cost savings of $100,000 to the facility.

As the Corporate Engineer of all of EPE's expanded polyolefin molding plants I monitored and improved all plant systems operating efficiency and consistency. Discovered and implemented several ways to reduce natural gas and electricity usage. Performed extensive testing on material preparation prior to molding. Determined ways to reduce cycle times by a third.Renegotiated the existing natural gas service agreement for the San Leandro facility effectively reduce gas costs by $700,000 annually.Specified all piping systems, equipment, and plant layout for the construction of EPE's latest state of the art molding plant; Incorporated numerous innovative design concepts to achieve the most efficient and rapid production record worldwide.
