I am an award-winning creative and marketing professional with more than 25 years of experience helping to build and promote brands and support the marketing efforts of local and national companies. I am excited for a new opportunity to bring my skills and experience to a creative team to help deliver a high-quality experience for their customers and add value to the team and organization I work for.My role as Senior Designer and Photographer at Valley Children’s Healthcare has provided me more than a decade of patient story telling, brand promotion and protection, and influence on patient and family experiences through marketing, communication and design efforts. These opportunities ranged from simple way-finding pieces to aid in navigation to an appointment destination or vaccination clinic, to robust multi-media campaigns promoting and educating our patient population regarding things like new and improved access to clinics, expert specialty-care available or unique programs offered to help get kids back to being kids.I believe my unique experience of managing operations of a business to business printing company provided a solid foundation for my creative career by enabling me to understand what happens when digital files are “sent to the printer.” Beginning with my college education and throughout my entire career, I have used and been proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite of products, specifically Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop for taking ideas from concept to completion.As a consumer, I find myself always evaluating and critiquing design and messaging experiences both in retail environments and online. I feel this trait helps me to bring innovative ideas to creative teams I work with as well as challenge current trends in an effort to create an even more polished and effective transaction between the desired experience and the end-user. While working in creative teams in varying capacities, I have learned how to challenge ideas rather than people, how to give and receive constructive feedback, and how to work well in a remote autonomous capacity but still maintain great organization and communication to help see projects to completion.I am excited for the opportunity to bring my passion for quality and effective design into the next phase of my career while working for a forward-thinking and community driven organization.
