Image System Engineer
Current• Responsible for the planning, requirements development, design, development, installation, testing, operations and maintenance of the Enhanced Physical Access Control System (EPACS) security cameras for KSC.• Lead designer for the Milestone video surveillance system. Provides designs for network requirements for the internet protocol camera and recording system along with operations and maintenance of imaging technology, equipment, and systems. • Maintains configuration and designs upgrades for broadband video and cable system to include camera controls currently implemented at KSC. Exercises advanced technical knowledge of the limitations of proven concepts and practices on imaging systems in order to evaluate and resolve problems. Maintains liaison with engineer experts in related fields in order to keep abreast of the latest trends and innovations in design or testing techniques and procedures.• Coordinate Space Launch System (SLS) Program Baseline Configuration Imagery (BCI). Provides system expertise for existing lenses and cameras. Update documentation with the best options to capture the imagery during vehicle flow process.• Provide support as the subject matter expert on imagery metadata and imagery management systems as required to make sure imagery meets Federal and NASA standards for distribution and retention.• Develop performance work statements and provides associated task cost estimates for Program evaluation and execution. Plans and coordinates assignments with other organizations and contractors to ensure system technical and operational requirements are fully integrated. Create imaging systems presentations for management and customers to help with system development, training, and implementation.
