• Worked as part of a team of inventors to develop and patent a novel, peptide-based vasodilator (AZX100) which spawned a biotechnology start-up, Arizona Engineered Therapeutics (AzERx). • Designed experimental protocols to test the effectiveness of the invention on a wide range of animal and human vessels to generate data needed for proof of concept. • Provided accurate, reliable and publishable data in preparation for bringing the drug to market. AzERx was acquired by Orthologic Corp. in February of 2006 and is now Capstone Therapeutics.
