Jeff Barnes founded Clean Pacific Ventures in 2005 on the premise that clean technology represented both a rapidly growing investment platform and a widening divide for capital-efficient companies in need of financing. Investment process includes rigorous market analysis, customer segmentation, strategic and product planning, sales strategy and optimization, financial modeling, sophisticated investment deal structuring and hands-on support where management deficiencies exist. Prior to Clean Pacific, Jeff spearheaded business development and marketing for Purfresh, a venture-backed clean technology water and food purification company with a long list of Fortune 500 customers (sold shares for a gain on secondary basis). He also was the first marketing and business executive of Vocal Point (acquired by Telecom Italia). Previously, Jeff spent 5 years at Bain & Company in the Private Equity and Technology practices consulting to private equity funds and to major technology companies.Jeff has invested in other start-ups and sold his shares such as Blingo (acquired by Publishers Clearing House) and Advanced Educational Corporation (sold shares for a gain on a secondary basis).
