Jeff’s legal practice focuses on advanced tax and estate planning for business owners and high net worth individuals and families. He has extensive experience in the legal work necessary to preserve family wealth, save taxes, and create sustainable succession plans. Often, this planning centers on the creation of one or more irrevocable trusts, family partnerships, or other entities. The balance of Jeff’s practice is devoted to trust administration, probate, estate and gift tax returns, property taxes, and helping clients with “basic” estate plans (e.g. living trusts, wills, etc.).Jeff is a certified specialist in Estate Planning, Trusts, and Probate law and a former member of the Estate and Gift Tax Committee for the Taxation Section of the State Bar of California. He has enjoyed speaking on the subject of high-end estate planning for the State Bar of California’s Annual Estate and Gift Tax Conference, the Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB), the CalCPA Education Foundation, and “in-house” presentations to banks, accounting firms, and networking groups. Jeff serves on the board of the South Placer Estate Planning Council and is an active member of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society and the Sacramento Estate Planning Council. In the past, he has served on the board of the Napa County Library Foundation and fundraising for Molly’s Angels of Napa.
