Served as the 3,000-person Installation and Mission Support Center commander’s senior representative to the four-star general Global Strike command staff responsible for synchronizing the efforts of over 31,000 personnel at nine Wings (units) across the United States ensuring success of the nation’s nuclear deterrence mission.• Led a team of 32 to support 8 Air Force bases and 465 geographically separated operating locations• Provided city management services, security forces risk management, communications engineering and installation programming, civil engineer operations, emergency services, Geobase (geographical information systems) support, financial services, and personnel assignment and training management.• Delivered civil engineer and logistical planning support for mission beddowns and force structure changes• Ensured facility maintenance, operation and construction, environmental management, energy programs, emergency management, security, logistics and other support functions with a $175 million budget are defined, prioritized, resourced, and executed successfully either in-house or by contract.

As the senior Public Works/Facilities Management officer in Air Force Global Strike Command, led a team of 59 to provide guidance, policy and resource management in support of 5 AF bases with plant replacement value exceeding $14.3B. Responsible for preparing and ensuring efficient execution of capital and operating budgets and strategic plans for construction, routine and recurring maintenance, community planning, asset management, energy and environmental management, fire and emergency services, explosive ordnance disposal and emergency preparedness.

Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan

Led 4,200-person military and civilian organization (largest Group in the Air Force) to provide police, logistics, communications/information technology, contracting, human resources and recreational services supporting 9,000 Airmen and civilians and 25,000 family members. He was also responsible for the operation of the Okuma Recreation Facility on Okinawa as well as the Bellows Air Force Station Recreation Facility in Hawaii.• Served as primary liaison for the Department of Defense with 3 city mayors impacted by the base. Engaged with Mayors on common interests including volunteer support, community impact of base-operations and military members, and safety and security of Okinawans and Americans• Led largest Special Olympics (1,500 American and Japanese athletes) event outside the United States coordinating American and Japanese events and fundraising efforts involving over 2,500 volunteers

Sustained the Air Force's oldest city infrastructure of 1,348 facilities on 3,660 acres with 18,000 daily workers and residents. Directed Langley's environmental, energy, and housing programs with more than 1,200 dorm rooms and 1,400 family housing units.• Responsible for $363M facility and infrastructure design and construction program• Briefed Senate and House Appropriations Committee staffers on AF approach to facility sustainment • Executed $58M federal stimulus construction program. Balad Air Base, Iraq

Led 890 Airmen and soldiers providing Public Works, explosive ordnance disposal, and fire and emergency services at the largest installation in Iraq, and supported five others, during 2007/8 surge operations. Directed repairs and upgrades to 520 acres of pavement and 325 facilities supporting DoD's busiest single runway and aerial port enabling cargo, fighter, helicopter and remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) operations.• Shaped Balad's future by developing a 572 project, $652M facilities and infrastructure master plan• Executed $33M, 6 month construction program to double RPA capacity for Iraq• Built $30M Joint Army/Special Ops aviation ramps, hangar, and RPA operations and support facilities

Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, Virginia

Led 355 military and civilian trade craftsmen and engineers. Managed diverse activities including facility and infrastructure operations and maintenance, maintenance engineering, and logistics support for 1,313 facilities worth over $1.5B. Approved base wide civil engineering work requests and designated in-house or contract execution. Developed and managed $25.7M annual budget.• Saved $300K as source selection authority for $1.3M grounds, $1M refuse, and $3.2M supply contracts• Led massive $40M, 19 project, 60 day closure and repair of Langley’s single runway...reopened early • Completed $9.8M electrical “mini loop” project to modernize Langley’s 90 year old infrastructure• Installed $1.5M of direct digital controls in 53 facilities to save energy and dollars while improving comfort
