This platform provides the foundation for all the global regulatory trade reporting, real time trader surveillance and global record keeping obligations for the bank.• MiFID II: $15m deliverable over 18 months with over 100 resources to meet all the regulatory obligations under MiFID including Trade Reporting, Best Execution, Cost & Charges and Record Keeping. Received a CEO Award for Delivery Excellence.• Dodd Frank: Delivered a big data solution to consolidate all the records required to meet all global record keeping obligations.• Trader Surveillance: Leveraged a market leading vendor (First Derivatives) to meet the groups monitoring and surveillance obligations including MAR, FX EU and global FX best practice guidelines.• Collateral Management: $8m program over 9 months to implement a new collateral management solution (Murex) to meet APRA CPS226 Prudential Standard

The scope of this program is to upgrade and re-platform the banks reconciliation platform in order to support a group wide reconciliation operating model, through enhanced integration with all trading systems including Murex and Calypso and the general ledger. This is one of the first projects at Westpac to leverage their new virtual server environment and Oracle high performance infrastructure to establish a truly scalable application.

As Technology Program Manager for the equities trading business in Australia, I am responsible for partnering with local business leaders and leading the successful delivery of solutions across the client connectivity, order management/analytics and executions teams through the management of internal development teams and various external vendors. The major deliverables achieved over the last two years include the built out of an ultra low latency exchange connectivity to support high frequency clients, a new internal crossing engine, multi market smart order router and an internal dark pool to support the equity trading business.• Partner with senior business leaders to define technology strategy and formulate the business case for major technology deliverables.• Program manage the equity deliverables including the successful delivery of Deutsche Banks’ $10 Million Multi Market (Chi-X) program. I coordinated the efforts of 50+ internal resources across development, infrastructure, support, compliance, legal and audit as well as external vendors IRESS, Reuters & CameronTech. Deutsche Bank achieved the #1 market share on Chi-X on Day 1 with over 5 million messages processed through our systems. This program of work involved over 800 application and infrastructure changes over 18 months including a full co-location datacenter move.• Work with local industry and regulatory bodies including ASIC, AFMA, and the Stock Brokers Association in collaboration with Deutsche Bank compliance teams on providing feedback on major initiatives and coordinating industry views.

As manager of the Front Office projects for the investment banking arm of J.P. Morgan, I coordinated the program of work for our institutional equity trading business. For 2009/2010 this included the delivery of a new equity trading platform which included a complete trader workstation to support equity trading, algorithmic trading, program trading and index arbitrage trading. I coordinated the efforts of multiple development and testing teams in Australia, Hong Kong and India. I managed a large program of work that includes enhancements to our trading platform and algorithms, integration of the new ASX market orders types and development of our multi exchange line handlers including Smart Order Routing algorithms.
