About Jeffrey Osier-Mixon

I use my professional skills and experience with open source to enable people and projects to succeed. After more than 20 years as a technical writer and software developer, usually in the service of open source and often close to hardware, I transitioned permanently in 2011 to open source community and program management, and have been proud to serve many roles in a number of embedded, open hardware, functional safety, open standards, automotive, and edge & IoT projects.I currently manage many relationships with various open source projects and standards organizations related to automotive, edge and IoT, industrial IoT, functional safety, and RISC-V as an emerging hardware architecture. I speak frequently about open source governance and best practices, and I am pleased to serve on several boards and to contribute to a number of projects in both a technical and non-technical capacity.
