Led negotiation of a $4,000,000 Fluid Management Agreement with an on-site vendor which, per negotiated terms of the agreement, will guarantee savings to Aleris of $200,000 year over year of the agreement.

Created a coordinated process to fulfill service parts orders with production purchased products. Developed and fostered process to share resources and resolve conflict between internal and external customers. Drove down cost of obsolete inventory throughout worldwide distribution network.

Responsible for the distribution planning of production material for three manufacturing plants and six distribution centers with the goal of minimizing freight costs and maximizing customer fill Rae out of the distribution centers. Reduced freight costs by $100,000 annually beginning in 2006 by supporting effort to rationalize freight lanes, loading processes, and utilization of new freight methods. Responsible for monthly reporting of aged material status in the three plants and six distribution centers and focused efforts and processes to reduced aged and obsolete inventory in those facilities.

Responsible for all sourcing of papers, films, liner, adhesives, and silicone for the production of pressure sensitive laminate product in 3-4 manufacturing plants. Developed and fostered relationships with international (Europe and Asia) vendors. Drove down pricing in a highly inflammatory period. Ensured supply (zero manufacturing shut downs) due to un-availability of material) during an un-precedented constrained market supply period.

Cleveland/Akron, Ohio Area

Responsible for a variety of commodities for LTV's three main manufacturing facilities. These commodities totaled 13 and included oils, lubricants, paint, salt, and grinding wheels. Implemented a recycling program with an outside vendor who would remove rolling oils from the facility, clean and re-additize the material, and sell it back to LTV for pennies on the dollar. This project was slated to save LTV over a million dollars per year.

Handled all purchasing and inventory functions for 8 manufacturing plants for this privately-held metal-building insulation manufacturing company. Converted wholly manual purchasing and inventory over to a computerized process. Drove down monthly inventory costs on adhesive by implementing a consignment program on this product.
