I am a senior leader of a specialised team delivering civil law services for and with Aboriginal communities across NSW and for Aboriginal women in custody. We specialise in consumer, housing, social security, and human rights law. We are a team of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal staff dedicated to increasing access to legal services, building capacity in communities to deal with legal issues and tackling systemic issues. We work in collaboration with communities and service providers to design tailored services that meet the needs of clients.

I variously held the position of Solicitor in Charge during this period full time, or part time as a job share, before going on maternity leave until January 2021. I returned briefly to my substantive role in Jan 2021 before job sharing again until August 2021 when we transitioned to Aboriginal leadership of the team. The SIC manages a team of 17 FTE roles and about 20 staff across Sydney and regional NSW. We sit on the civil law executive team and contribute to leadership of the division and the organisation. In this role I was responsible for senior leadership of a team conducting outreach across NSW and in prisons, managing a phone advice service, leading strategic advocacy on issues facing Aboriginal communities and supporting the civil law division on legal issues for Aboriginal people.
