RESTRUCTURING: Representing both the debtor and creditors in in- and out-of-court restructurings. My primary role is to lead a team responsible for creation and maintenance of court-required reports and schedules, review executory contracts and related claims, creation of schedules for asset sales, coordination and production of discovery requests and to act as a liaison between the client and other bankruptcy professionals. OIL & GAS: Manage teams tasked with confirming fee and royalty interests, reviewing of oil & gas leases, purchase and sale agreements, assignments, deeds, title opinions, division orders and other land agreements for assets across the US. Clients used the related deliverables from such projects for purchase and sale of assets, upgrades to internal land and accounting systems and general business process improvements. Assist team in drafting of MD&A section and Footnotes of S-1 filing for IPO of upstream oil & gas company.Transition of physical and financial oil and gas trading confirmation desk and financial gas trading settlements desk from Houston to New York/New Jersey area for a major multinational bank. IN-HOUSE: I acted in an in-house counsel capacity for Opportune through August of 2015, reviewing and negotiating several contracts between Opportune and potential clients, vendors and others. Types of contracts include MSAs, SOWs, engagement letters, covenants not to compete, separation agreements, and CA/NDAs. To assist Opportune expand its domestic and international presence, I also helped form and manage foreign subsidiaries and branch offices.SERVICE: Served on a team tasked with creating the curriculum for bi-annual internal training events. I wrote nine case studies used for three events. In addition, I was an inaugural member of a group of young professionals selected to meet with the Managing Partner on a quarterly basis with the goal of improving firm-wide communication. I served on this council for two years.

During my time at Transocean I assisted with foreign and domestic subsidiary management, including drafting corporate minutes. Other duties included drafting various contracts and litigation filings and tracking and processing subpoena and document requests.

I was awarded a summer internship with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department through the State Bar of Texas Environmental & Natural Resources Law Section Internship Program. During my internship with with TPWD I researched and drafted legal memoranda, attended committee and legislative meetings for the Edwards Aquifer Recovery Implementation Program (EARIP), and assisted with the production of the department-wide expert witness training program.
