As a Design Principal at HDR Jen develops highly creative and effective design solutions. At HDR our team is growing a center of excellence for Urban Design, Planning and Landscape Architecture cohesively. As a principal, mentoring is central to leadership, challenging, inspiring and motivating others in the pursuit of Design Excellence.

Jen leads HDR’s Site Design Practice in Omaha. Her goals are to integrate the Practice across disciplines, promote design excellence and grow and diversify the studio. She has more than a decade of wide-ranging leadership, planning and design experience in the community and education market sectors; in urban design, streetscape revitalization, parks and recreation and campus planning and design. Jen is passionate about collaborative design as a way to regenerate the spirit of place by fusing natural systems and the built environment

As the Park and Recreation Focus Market Leader, Jen has extensive experience in park, recreation, open space planning, construction of site projects, and mutual experience working as a park planner. Jen also has knowledge in a wide range of project types including urban design, campus planning, and streetscape revitalization efforts. She values the integration of sustainable options into everyday uses and the betterment of a healthy community. She is passionate about creating visitor experiences designed to complement the landscape and interact with the surrounding environment. Her focus is on designs that regenerate the spirit of place by fusing natural systems with the built environment that enhance the perspectives of the steering committee, citizens, and the team. She has been fortunate to design spaces for people to enjoy locally and nationally; while providing design innovation.

Working with the City of Omaha's Park and Recreation Department to help plan, develop, and improve the public spaces for the city. Providing Landscape Architectural services, planning, design, construction, and vision for the parks in the local community.

At RDG I work as part of an integral team of Landscape Architects from conceptual design to design documentation. As a member of the landscape architecture studio I have worked on a wide range of project types including park, recreation, open space planning, and streetscape revitalization efforts. One of my passions is the visualization of space using a variety of techniques to integrate hand and computer generated graphics. I value the integration of sustainable options into everyday uses and the betterment of a healthy community. I enjoy creating a cohesive and functional design for the client while integrating best management practices. I specialize in the representation and visualization of design concepts.
