As a first generation college student, I started my career in the place that built me: higher education. Over the course of 15 years at top research universities, I dedicated myself to coaching and mentoring, moved initiatives through the trickiest of political environments, and crafted authentic engagement experiences that made core memories. Key takeaways: college students will keep you humble and I excel at creating calm out of chaos.Making a career change into the corporate realm, I took on a brand new role during an acquisition of 12+ companies and multiple reorgs. Only 3 months in, I was tapped to be the leader of our new onboarding program and reimagined the internship program resulting in more interns receiving offers than before. I quickly became a gritty go-to utility player, contributing to multiple new company initiatives such as change management sessions to support executives post reorg and joining the new Employee Experience Team, leading 9 new activities in 30 days to boost employee engagement. Lack of efficiency and continuous improvement crushes my soul. If you listen close enough, you can hear me contemplating solutions while doing regular life things like grocery shopping or walking my dog. Years of coaching from a servant leader mindset showed me when people feel valued, performance follows. My undergrad degree in psychology has served me well. I find joy in understanding and connecting people while fixing systems to best serve the greater good.My greatest value add to a company and a team are roles in education consulting, university relations, early career and new hire development, and operations.
