Focusing on renewable energy technology and sustainable development. Coursework includes heat and mass transfer, groundwater hydrology, fluid mechanics, linear elasticity, and controls. Designed and built a soil moisture sensor irrigation control system for an independent graduate research project. This system will be installed at an urban farm in Inglewood to reduce water consumption by up to 88% and increase crop yields by up to 78%, as well as automating and simplifying urban farming.

Primary instructor for two sections of Physics 4AL. Responsibilities include preparing and giving lectures, conducting demonstrations, assisting students with experiments, grading weekly lab reports, holding outside office hours and answering questions via e-mail for additional student support, and troubleshooting DAQ systems.

Organized and instructed workshops for high school students on the physics and engineering aspects of building a solar powered boat. Reviewed and graded student reports, assisted teams with mechanical and electrical problems, and inspected all boats for safety, functionality, and adherence to Solar Cup rules.

Successfully constructed, measured and calibrated a prototype detector for the DRIFT dark matter detection collaboration. Spearheaded a student team to engineer six full-sized detectors based on the prototype.
