Creating and leading strategic communications across diverse projects to elevate our low carbon solutions for local climate action leaders. In this fast-paced environment I am grateful to facilitate change by identifying and delivering the right communications and engagement approaches for clients and partners.

As manager of national programming I coordinated and managed Timeraiser programs and events in cities across Canada. This included everything from writing grants and managing volunteers to planning every detail of the events! A primary learning from this role was how to use communications tools in a cross-functional environment to bring partners and supporters into the volunteer community.

Based in Kigoma and Mugumu, Tanzania, and working in Lugufu refugee camp and Serengeti School District, respectively.My role as Project Coordinator was very multi-faceted and encompassed a wide variety of tasks. I created and managed a team of 5 staff and over 50 volunteers to implement and maintain sport and play programs with primary school-aged children. Supporting local staff to administer and report on programming was a key component to ensure program sustainability.In addition to managing the day-to-day programs, I was responsible for working with funders and community partners. This included writing program proposals and reports to stakeholders and collaborating with community partners (Red Cross, UNHR, ICRC, Jane Goodall Foundation, school district officials, etc) to ensure the success and sustainability of our programs.
