MyLifeLine.org is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that encourages cancer patients and caregivers to create free personalized websites. Our mission is to empower patients to build an online support community of family and friends to foster connection, inspiration, and healing.As Director of Program and Development, my primary responsibilities included program evaluation, user engagement, grants management, mission outreach, individual giving, donor stewardship, and event sponsorship.I relied on MyLifeLine.org when my late husband, Ruben, was in his final stages of his battle with cancer. It meant the world to us during such a critical time and our lives and it continues to be the first resource I mention when anyone I know is diagnosed with cancer. It is an honor to merge my professional experience with my personal passion for a wonderful organization.

Texas 4000 cultivates student leaders and engages communities in the fight against cancer. We share hope, knowledge and charity through leadership development, grant-making, and our cornerstone event, a more than 4,000-mile bike ride from Austin to Anchorage.In this role, I was responsible for setting long term vision and goals, managing staff, increasing fundraising in all areas, strengthening strategic partners and adding new partnerships, protecting and ensuring longevity of organization by minimizing risk, improving regular communications to all constituents, working with Board of Directors, overseeing financial reporting and adherence to budget, managing human resources and information technology needs, developing strategic and development plans, and stewarding all constituencies.

The LIVESTRONG Foundation provides free cancer support services to help people cope with the financial, emotional and practical challenges that accompany the disease. In this role, I drove optimization of development activities, managed implementation of operational plan, evaluated partnership and brand awareness opportunities as well as created, maintained and analyzed key performance indicators to inform data-driven decision making. In previous role as Senior Manager of Annual Giving, I managed all annual giving efforts, the direct mail program, online giving and workplace giving fundraising campaigns.

Capital IDEA's mission is to lift working adults out of poverty and into living wage careers through education.In this role, I was responsible for diversifying development by transitioning organization into private fundraising through annual giving, events, and social media.

Breastcancer.org is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the most reliable, complete, and up-to-date information about breast cancer. The mission is to help women and their loved ones make sense of the complex medical and personal information about breast cancer, so they can make the best decisions for their lives.In this role, I supervised staff, tracked, analyzed and reported on all fundraising activities, wrote annual development plan, served as staff liaison for Board of Directors and Board Development Committee, developed corporate sponsorship packages and solicitations, and created, developed and implemented social networking strategy.

The Valentine Foundation has advocated for social change on behalf of women and girls through responsive, responsible grant-making for over 25 years. In this role, I managed $500,000 Leadership Fund Campaign, planned and implemented communications with prospects, donors and committee members, including all solicitations, fundraising events and reporting.

For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation (formerly Crossing the Finish Line) is a non-profit organization that assists adult cancer patients, their caregivers and loved ones. Inspired by the late Peter R. Bossow, Jr., we give these patients a break from cancer in a secure and comfortable environment.Eligible patients, along with their caregivers, receive a one-week expense-paid excursion to select vacation locations along the East Coast and in the Caribbean. For Pete’s Sake owns a respite home near Orlando, Florida and relies on donated vacation homes to supplement additional stays.
