I am passionate about CTE and am fortunate to manage the clock hour healthcare programs at GateWay Community College. Our wonderful programs, such as EMT, Fire Science, Wildland Firefighter, Hazmat, Phlebotomy, Law Enforcement Phlebotomy, Pharmacy Technician ,Ophthalmic Assistant, Spanish Medical Interpreter, ECG Technician, Medical Assisting, and Medical Billing & Coding offer students a rewarding career in healthcare. GateWay takes pride that our healthcare programs have high completion rates, high first time pass rates on national certification exams, and high employability rates. I also teach as an Adjunct Professor in the BSED and MED CTE programs at Northern Arizona University. Many of our short term programs at GateWay will transfer to NAU’s 90/30 program where students can start their educational career in CTE/Occupational Education.
