Chosen as a student advisor to the Illinois Rural Education Advisory Council. The goal of the council is to bring in rural voices and perspectives to create a proposal that will adequately address the needs that Illinois rural schools face.

Selected as one of the 100 high achieving Juniors across the nation to be a LEDA scholar to attend a rigorous 5 week Summer Institute at Princeton University.

• Serving a two-year term on the council to represent the voices of the 1.9 million Illinois students that are enrolled within the Illinois school system. • Presented recommendations on specific topics to the Illinois State Board of Education.• Work together with other students to discuss and create viable solutions to some of the most pressing issues that Illinois students face.

• Oversaw sub-groups with other executive council members to manage recommendations and research. • Scheduled meetings and worked with eight other executive council members to organize events for the council as a whole.

On the mission to make English a more accessible language for English Secondary Learners to learn English by creating a virtual community.

• Co-taught classes alongside college undergraduates and graduates in select topics. • Helped engage students in classroom discussions, led breakout rooms. • Acted as a bridge of communicator between students and main instructors. • Oversaw students' work and helped revise essays, videos and other projects.

• Operated on the campaign team as a policy writer and helped train new interns. • Served on a coalition team. • Served on the outreach team and spoke to more than 300 voters.
