The mission of CCPOA is to fight on behalf of our members for the enhancement of wages and benefits, as well as the provision of a positive work environment. Every single one of our member is a Correctional Officer. As a Legal Secretary, I work alongside our experienced Staff Counsel/Staff Attorneys to provide our members with the absolute best legal representation when faced with on-the-job challenges that may affect their employment status. More specifically, I act as the attorney’s right hand by maintaining legal files, draft and file pleadings, prepare and serve subpoenas, prepare and file Motions, transcribe investigation interviews with the Office of Internal Affairs, transcribe hearings and prepare exhibit binders for trial.
