As a child care professional, providing parents with peace of mind for the safety of their children is the most important part of the job. Daily tasks include changing diapers and cleaning up after children, but also include connecting and communicating with parents, being aware of the children and surroundings at all times. Other responsibilities include preparing meals and serving them to the children while maintaining supervision and control, reporting any illnesses to administration, and most importantly understanding and communicating with children who are emotional, and calming them down to prevent altercations with other students and teachers.
