- Lead engineer on the Exploration and Comparison of OpenMC and MCNP Benchmark Models project in the Reactor Physics Technology department where I compared the accuracy and efficiency of the codes.- Created 90 spherical and lattice models in MCNP and OpenMC to determine which is most efficient and accurate.- Created a personalized ENDF/B-VII.0 cross section library to use to run OpenMC simulations.- Calculated comparison metrics regarding eigenvalues, runtime, and particle calculation rate for Monte Carlo tools.- Completed the GE Presentation Skills Workshop, GE Introduction to Python Training Course, and the GEH NAYGN Intern-Mentor Program.

- Compression testing of polysiloxane scintillators and experimental light yield measurements to determine the effects of compressive loads on radiation detection in the scintillators.- Completed training to operate the Mark-10 F505 mechanical tester independently.

- Working on shielding optimization for DT neutron sources and degradation of energy for a neutron beam.- Handling of radiation sources up to 54 Curie and physical experiment setup.- Research into the irradiation of ceramics to see how changes in properties are advantageous to the ceramic’s function.- Utilizing MCNP6.3 to model radiation sources and simulate experiments.
