I love working at Carlisle college, developing curriculum and supporting learners, I am happy in my current role, however, I am seeking a new challenge and allow me to focus on aspects of my current role and previous roles that I have found most enjoyable.I am currently employed at Carlisle College in a teaching/tutor/lecturer role which I enjoy. Especially developing learning resources and planning for successful teaching, learning and development as well as supporting learners and colleagues. I am a professional, enthusiastic, meticulous, efficient, organised and highly motivated individual who will always strive to meet deadlines and exceed expectations. I feel happy and confident in seeking new relationships, and developing and maintaining relationships with students, colleagues, employers and organisations. I have a background in business and managing people and I have worked in a variety of organisations with varying roles which I feel could also support new opportunities.I have a sound experience and knowledge of a variety of awarding bodies and the expectations of designing and delivering various curriculumsWe have had a continual turnover of staff over the few years in the department I work in which has meant being flexible and also taking responsibility for supporting and mentoring colleagues which has been a great privilege. This has allowed me to do some observations formally for the teacher training program and less formally as we peer observe to support professional development.In order to ensure learners are making progress and are at a point of achieving their qualification, it is essential to track progress and learning continually. I have not only ensured this continually for my tutor groups and this year I have tracked our departments learners progress from various stages in the journey which has been both challenging and rewarding.In order to ensure learners are gaining the most from their learning experience I continually review the modules we are offering and collect feedback to ensure we are offering a range of teaching and learning strategies as well as various methods of both formative and summative assessment.I feel my interpersonal skills are what makes me stand out as an individual, my positive enthusiastic outlook and friendly nature ensure people who come into contact with me are set at ease. I have always had excellent customer service skills and would view this as a major strength.
