My journey with United Healthcare began in April of 2012 as a claims processor. I was utilized for special projects and peer support after approximately one year of service. In February of 2015, I was promoted to SME (Subject Matter Expert) where I was able to utilize my previous experience with processing and gain more in-depth knowledge of internal issues (systems, programs) and business practices. My responsibilities included claims processing, SOP updates, peer reviews and training, error review, cross training for other plans, special projects for various business partners and various other duties. Currently, I utilize my combined experiences in my role as a Claims Project Manager since November of 2016. This role has provided me with the opportunity to utilize my previous experiences and expand my professional growth in many areas. I am proficient with Medicare rules, regulations and requirements as well as Medicaid specifics in several states. My current role has allowed me to apply my knowledge of claims processing as well as expand my other skills to meet company goals and product guarantees. I am also responsible for reporting, communications with provider contacts, both internal and external, and remediation of system issues.
