The City of Ottawa's Affordable Housing Unit works diligently to create and implement projects and policies in attempts to provide affordable housing for all.I had the privilege to participate in two RFP processes and help facilitate a National Housing Day event with local housing providers and CMHC. I conducted research on a variety of topics including home ownership programs. I was able to improve office productivity by assisting the senior staff with clerical duties. This fantastic experience solidified my interest in social and affordable housing, municipal affairs and sustainable cities.
