I'm a senior at Mount Saint Mary's University, Los Angeles majoring in Psychology with an emphasis in Clinical and Counseling Psychology. I am hoping to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology. As a Psychology major, I'm fascinated by studying the human mind and understanding why people are the way they are. As such I have taken classes in which I believe are helpful in future opportunities such as Cognitive Psychology, Brain and Behavior, Alcohol and Substance Abuse, Developmental Psychopathology, Abnormal Psychology, and Applied Research Methods and Statistics and I have also participated in the Western Psychological Association Conference. I have previously volunteered with a non-profit organization known as Girls on the Run. I worked with young girls from the ages of 6-13. I helped empower them to believe in themselves and that there are no limitations to what they can do. I have also volunteered at hospital settings and have experience in customer service which helped improved my skills with everyday interactions. I hope to put these experiences to good use.
