About Jenna Britton

I’ve been telling stories for as long as I can remember. Before I even knew how to write the alphabet, I’d tell stories to my mom who would patiently scrawl the words down for me. As an adult, my love for stories has manifested as a 16-year career in writing, communications, storytelling, and marketing.I currently manage Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion content strategy and storytelling at grocery and household delivery service, Shipt. In my role, I’m working to raise awareness of Shipt’s DEI journey by developing and driving a creative internal and external content strategy that sparks engagement with our employees, shoppers, customers, and partners; and that supports our ability to achieve key diversity and inclusion business objectives. Before Shipt, I managed public relations, digital marketing, community engagement, content strategy, print and online editing, storytelling and copywriting efforts for companies such as adidas, Mattel, Westfield, Career Contessa, Otterbox, and more. But I am a writer, first and foremost, having spent many evenings and weekends writing articles, essays, and other personal stories that explore various topics of interest, such as relationships, personal growth, productivity, career advice, and my own (ongoing) journey to clarity, authenticity, and personal fulfillment. That writing has been featured in Salon, Thought Catalog, Darling Magazine, The Everygirl, and several other publications — including The Independent, a print publication I co-created to provide thought leadership and educational content to independent creatives and freelancers.I've also given a TEDx Talk on how story has the power to change your life (and how it’s changed mine). And I wrote, hosted, and produced my own podcast called Brave Enough to Be, about putting personal growth into practice through presence, peace of mind, and taking the brave steps to live authentically.Whether helping companies communicate the why behind what they do, driving DEI through inclusive narratives, or sharing personal stories that foster connection, my career has always been rooted in my passion for community and connection through story. Please reach out and share yours: jenna@jennabritton.com.
