Over the last 12 years I have been actively involved in many non-profit organizations including FORCE (Facing our Risk of Cancer Empowered,) Genetic Alliance (through FORCE), and Georgetown University Hospital’s S.O.S. Program (Support Our Survivors.) Through FORCE I gained experience as an Outreach Liaison in the local Washington, D.C. area educating on hereditary breast and ovarian cancer to various institutions in the Washington Metropolitan Area. This organization's mission allows me to gain the experience needed to reach my goals of combining advocacy and psychotherapy for patients diagnosed with breast and/or ovarian cancer. My personal experiences and empathy for those affected along with my knowledge of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer will allow me to further patient care mentally, physically, and mentally rather than just the physical problems that one faces with these cancers. Despite many life events I remain driven to attain my personal goals and to continue to expand my knowledge through gained experience thus furthering my career. With a combination of scholastic achievements, ability to easily establish rapport and communicate with others, resilience in transgorming negative situations into positive change, I am confident that my capabilities prove to be an asset to any company.
