I have 7+ years of experience as a public health and nutrition professional in global and domestic research and project management. I work with large, multinational teams to implement evidence-based interventions and policies to address health inequities among women and children, including food insecurity assessments, large-scale food fortification programs, and noncommunicable disease prevention. My research specifically investigates the multiple drivers and consequences of poor nutrition, such as micronutrient status and food insecurity. My goal is to strengthen the evidence base for implementing sustainable, scalable, and practical public health actions to reduce the prevalence of poor nutrition, both domestically and globally, for example through implementation of sugar-sweetened beverage policy or large-scale food fortification programs.Through collaborations with those that make nutrition policy and those affected by it, I want to answer questions through science to improve population nutrition health; questions that are driven by both context and need. In doing so, I hope to join the conversation of tailoring nutrition science to policy dialogues, and contribute to improved and lasting global health.
