I was a military spouse for many years while I obtained my undergraduate and graduate degrees. Despite the frequent moves, I managed to graduate cum laude from the University of Colorado and Rutgers University School of Law, and was a visiting student at North Carolina University School of Law, where I also made Dean’s List. I have been practicing law since 2002, and for several years worked in personal injury, worker’s compensation, and surety law. After being mentored by an immigration practitioner with over 30 years of experience, I opened up my own firm in 2007, dedicating my practice to my passion, which is immigration and nationality law. I have been admitted to both the state and federal courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia. I have been a member of the Maryland State Bar Association since 2002, as well as a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 2007. I am also a member of the National Organization for Women. I also speak Spanish, am a strong believer in immigrant rights, and am fully dedicated to serving the needs of my clients and the interests of the immigrant community.
