I have been in Education for twenty years. I have taught Spanish and English, but I was promoted to an elementary Assistant Principal in February 2018. I have always taught at a secondary level, but being with the elementary kids makes me smile. No two days are ever the same, and each day is packed full of surprises. One moment I may have a student in my office for something, and another moment I may have a student draw me a picture or give me a hug. They are a great group of kids, and each day I get a chance to work with a fantastic group of kids and an amazing staff. I love seeing our teachers give it their all everyday with our students.

I have taught for 15 years, ten of which have been with Humble ISD. I have taught Spanish I and II at the high school level. I also taught English I, II, III, and IV during summer school over a seven year period. At the middle school level, I taught Introduction to Spanish and 6th grade RELA. I am currently teaching Spanish I and Spanish for Spanish Speakers for high school credit. In the past, I have sponsored Students Against Cancer and a campus Advisory program. I was also a member of the Diversity Committee and the campus Rosebuds program. I am currently sponsoring the self assessment collective inquiry group at my campus and I also act as the administrator on duty for various extracurricular school functions. I am beginning my second year as the teacher representative for my campus with the district Teacher Advisory Committee. I am also a member of the district's new Substitute Advisory Committee. Recently, I was selected as a member of Humble ISD's new leadership program, Academy for Advancing Leaders.

I taught Spanish I at the middle school for high school credit, and I taught Spanish I, III, and IV at the high school.
