Our attention to detail coupled with established residential and commercial client relationships opened the door to this specialized area of clinic design — a natural evolution for our growth.I quickly determined as Decca Design expanded into this market that the firm would consistently represent the dentist and advocate for the unique needs of that dental practice, from initial design concept through construction and final installation.Decision points include a wide array of “absolutes” — like equipment requirements and productivity efficiencies — to desired improvements in the workplace environment and patient experience. Design principles that create efficiency and support daily activities apply to commercial spaces as well, so the addition of commercial design and planning to our repertoire was a natural fit. So was incorporating my proprietary “Exacting Project Seven (7) Step Process”.I expanded our team in response to this growing demand while simultaneously building relationships with leasing agents, landlords and consultants to support the design development. Commercial spaces are intrinsically more complex to design and execute. In addition to the ROI, critical considerations include careful attention to the organization’s culture, the aesthetic appeal of the space, and its effect on both employees and customers.
