What We Do? The Brain Balance Program brings hope to families of children who suffer with behavioral, academic, and social challenges. We are a specialized achievement center that utilize a drug-free, multi-faceted approach to address the underlying issues in many of the behavioral, developmental, and learning disorders that plague so many children today. For over a decade, our program has helped thousands of children become more focused and better behaved; it has improved their academic performance and enhanced their communication and social skills. Who We Help? Children who benefit from the Brain Balance Program do not always have a diagnosis, but often exhibit characteristics of ADHD, Learning Behavioral, and Processing Disorders, Asperger's, High Functioning Autism, Dyslexia, Tourette's, OCD and PDD among others. Why Are We Different? At Brain Balance we don't just work with a child's strengths or provide strategies to compensate for a weakness. We address the FUNDAMENTAL problem. At the core of these disorders is desynchronized processing speed or an imbalance between the two hemispheres of the brain resulting in a FUNCTIONAL DISCONNECTION. This means there is no physical damage, but that the two halves of the brain are not communicating or processing information the way they should.
