As a CNA, my duties included scheduling appointments with patients, driving to their home, and performing duties such as housekeeping, bathing, laundry, shopping, social interactions, and safety checks and assisting patients with activities of daily living. Furthermore, the abilities I gained form this job consisted of time management, scheduling, and managing a patient load of six to 11 patients per day.

s a Human Service aid, my duties included; giving baths, brushing teeth, and helping with other toileting needs. Assisting with mealtime, by helping the individuals eat, drink, set and clear the table, as to their capabilities, and with all other activities of daily living. At Day Programing, I would help the individuals make money by assisting them to do their assigned work for the day, such as cutting paper, stamping notepads, assembling notepads, doing mail or paper routes, popping popcorn, and folding napkins. My duties also included taking the individuals to do activities such as shopping, community events, vacations, dinners, and to the movie theater. I was also required to do normal chores around the cottages such as cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. At the end of each shift all staff were required to document all events and activities in each individuals log book as per state requirements. Furthermore, the abilities I gained from this position were patients, good communication skills, and proper documentation skills.
