CurrentMy positions as Siena during the last 14 year have included: Department Chair of Math & Science, Middle School Science Teacher (teaching Earth, Life and Physical Sciences), Environmental & Outdoor Education Coordinator and Cross Country and Tennis Coach. For many of these positions, I did them simultaneously.I missed the classroom after being away for 10 years, in particular the relationships I developed with students to experience their growth. I returned to the classroom to teach my childhood passion, Science. While at Siena, I have always sought growth and opportunity to bring my passions and interests to the community: coaching my childhood sports of cross country and tennis, my passion for the outdoors and experience in environmental education and a desire to grow my leadership skills. The most rewarding parts of my positions at Siena has been to create and engage my students in student-centered lessons and projects, develop opportunities to differentiate and individualize student's educational needs, mentor new teachers and lead Siena's comprehensive growth and evaluation system.
