I've had a varied journey from advocacy to operations management to academia to flower farming, and I'm excited to get back to teaching my favorite class -- Intermediate Microeconomics -- at Lynchburg University Fall 2024. I started the Little Otter Flower Farm in 2020 with and for my son Max, who has Autism, and each year Max is taking on more responsibility for the farm. Our mission is to grow flowers, people, and community, and we are proud of both the quality of our flowers and the examples we show to the world of what people with Autism are capable of achieving. We are members of the national Care Farming Network, and I love working with other businesses to design jobs, recruit, train and succeed with employees with Autism. What is good for employees with Autism is good for all employees! I am also the finance chair of the Bedford YMCA and the loyal volunteer for the Bedford Farmers Market.
