As Communications Manager for Healthcare Realty, a publicly traded real estate investment trust (REIT) that owns and manages over 40 million square feet of outpatient medical buildings in nearly 700 properties across 35 states, I leverage my experience in strategic communications to lead our corporate narrative with precision and purpose, supporting our brand, voice, vision, and culture. I build engagement and connection among Healthcare Realty's employees, managers, and executives through vibrant internal messaging. I manage the company's intranet news feed, lead its social media strategy, and develop ways to share our business successes with key stakeholders. I collaborate with my Marketing department colleagues to oversee the company's brand, shape its tenant communications, and create messaging that befits Healthcare Realty's industry-leading role as the largest pure-play medical-office REIT in the nation. Previously, I served as Director of Investor Relations for a private real estate investment firm that managed limited partnership-owned pre-development land. I wrote the firm's quarterly reports on all projects under our management, organized and led investor meetings, helped shape company and partnership strategy, and guided investors through major restructuring and capital-raising challenges via clear and consistent messaging. In this role, I developed a broad familiarity with real estate acquisitions, investment strategy, raising private equity, commercial and residential development, crisis communications, and asset management.I have a BA in Communications from Washington State University and advanced skills in verbal, written, and interpersonal communications. I have a proven ability to deliver superior work product under pressure, meet critical deadlines, and break down complex information into nuanced messaging that informs, connects, and inspires. I have excellent organizational skills, a fierce attention to detail, and work well independently and collaboratively.
