I am a Professor in the Information Technology department at the Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch. I began my higher education at the age of 24 at John A. Logan Junior College in Carterville Illinois where I obtained the majority of her general electives. I transferred to Southern Illinois University (SIUC) in Carbondale, Illinois where I obtained her Bachelors of Science in Information Systems Technology. While obtaining her degree I worked as an Assistant Network Administrator (Student Worker) at SIUC’s Library Services. This position allowed her to gain hands on experience in the Technology field. After graduation I moved to Florida where I started my career first as a Help Desk Administrator and then as a Network Administrator. I received my Masters of Science in Computer Information Systems from University of Phoenix in 2005. While working as a Network Administrator I began teaching part-time at Florida Metropolitan University. After five years of doing both I decided to change directions in my career and teach full time. Nine years ago, I joined Pasco-Hernando State College as a full-time instructor in the Information Technology department. I continue to do consulting work outside the college and feels it keeps me relevant in my field. I love that I can bring my knowledge and real world experience to the classroom. I truly love teaching and hope to continue in this path until I retire.”In the nine years since I’ve been with PHSC I not only teach on campus classes but online as well. I have developed multiple master online courses as well as serve as a mentor to other faculty in PHSC’s online program.
