NORMALLY DEVELOPED CHILDREN RESPONSIBILITIES...Educate and discipline children to help them develop critical life skills.Arrange and transport to medical appointments.Prepare healthy meals.Oversee homework and chores on a daily basis.Foster social skills with people at school, church, and in the community.Counsel and encourage children.SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD RESPONSIBILITIES...Administer personal care to meet child's needs by feeding via g-tube, administering medication, bathing, dressing, diapering, providing personal hygiene assistance, and transferring child.Provide and help child use assistive devices and supportive technology.Schedule and accompany child to doctors' offices or on other trips outside the home.Collaborate with specialists to evaluate child's medical or physical condition and to assess child's needs.Advocate for child's special needs and plan for services while consulting with the team during case reviews.Promote child’s educational, physical, and social development by conferring with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to develop individual education plans (IEPs).Supervise and direct other workers providing services to child.Respond to emergency situations.Plan visitation and funeral service.

Design and implement efforts to publicize events and promote sponsorships.Enlist, train, and supervise volunteers required for event.Recruit event participants and organize registration.Arrange the availability of audio-visual equipment, displays, and other event needs.Coordinate details of the event including reserving facilities, arranging catering, preparing signage, creating displays, printing registrations and promotions, and ensuring event safety.Maintain records of event aspects, including financials.

Manage student recruitment, registration, and placement activities.Select, obtain, and organize performance pieces.Plan and evaluate methods of instruction.Design course materials such as homework assignments and handouts.Teach curriculum and facilitate classroom discussions.Prepare students for performances and assessments and direct rehearsals and concerts.Collaborate with colleagues and interact with parents.Evaluate and grade students' work, performances, assignments, and projects.Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
