Through mobile response, a network of sub offices and staff based within UNMISS Protection of Civilian sites (PoC), IOM teams provide efficient multi-sector humanitarian intervention to displaced persons and conflict affected host communities (southsudan.iom.int). The 2014-2015 crisis response in South Sudan is IOM’s largest humanitarian response with over 400 team members, 35 emergency projects and a budget exceeding USD 100 million. The Program Support Unit (PSU) Coordinator works directly with program managers, the Chief of Mission, donors, humanitarian partners and IOM headquarters’ technical, legal, financial and liaison offices to support the development and implementation of IOM’s humanitarian programming in South Sudan.
