I focus my practice in real estate permitting and land-use law on complex large-scale developments in and around the Greater Boston Area; I have built a specialty in life sciences development in Massachusetts. In Boston, I regularly appear before the Boston Planning and Development Agency, the Boston Zoning Board of Appeal and Zoning Commission, the Boston Air Pollution Control Commission, the Public Improvement Commission and Boston Landmarks Commission. In nearby Somerville I regularly work closely with the Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development, and frequently appear before the Planning Board, Historic Commission, and Zoning Board. My practice and the team that I lead at Sullivan obtain local, state and federal permits and approvals for our developer clients, and we stay abreast of all relevant political issues from the "word on the street" in each neighborhood in which we work to state and federal laws and policy shifts that will affect our clients in bigger pictures ways.
