Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) and Physician Services Division Legal DepartmentHeart and Vascular Institute:• Designed a physician contract management system using Microsoft Access 2010 to improve efficiency of daily operations of HVI Executive Administrator Teri Savolskis and Assistant Administrator Jillian Williams.• Exercised troubleshooting skills in the process of creating the Microsoft Access database. • Created an organized spreadsheet to track leasing information for HVI administration. Legal Department:• Updated Physician Services Division contract lists for each department.• Assisted in daily proofreading and editing of legal contracts.• Analyzed payment process for the Department of Continuing Medical Education.

Writing interns must write at least six articles between July 2012 and December 2012. Articles are on topics of interest to Phi Beta Kappa and its members and alumni. To date, I have written three articles. The first concerned the reinstatement of University of Virginia President Teresa Sullivan. I spoke with the head of the University of Virginia's Phi Beta Kappa chapter to get their perspective on the controversy surrounding her original resignation. The second was an interview of the Phi Beta Kappa Society's newly elected Vice President. The third article analyzed voter ID laws in the United States before the 2012 election.
