I currently have a variety of roles. First and foremost I am a youth coordinator for the wonderful Flynne’s Barn, a local charity close to my heart supporting young people living with cancer. In addition I work on a freelance basis in the outdoor industry, I hold the Summer Mountain Leader (SML) Award, and Rock Climbing Instructor (RCI) Award. I instruct on Duke of Edinburgh programmes and am a qualified to assess for Bronze, Silver and Gold. I have worked with World Challenge over the past five years as an Expedition Leader. I have recently qualified as a person centred counsellor/psychotherapist and in the process of developing my practice which will offer face to face, online and outdoor based sessions.I have 9 years experience supporting young people who are considered to be in crisis, and often with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Prior to such work I worked in various capacities in the field of Mental health including secure and community services in support worker and assistant psychologist roles. I am a big believer in the benefits of the outdoors and outdoor adventure on an individuals well being.
